Model Policy Language

The scoring criteria for the four policy types were developed in consultation with the PETS Policy Advisory Committee and were informed by model policy language developed by Public Health Law Center and Public Health Institute.

The following Model Policies served as guides for developing scoring criteria to assess the relative strength of policies:

Comprehensive Secondhand Smoke (SHS)

Multi-Unit Housing (MUH)

Comprehensive Sales (SALES)

Flavors (FLA)
